High Quality electromechanical safety lock, type ‘A1 SA’,
Working according the Fail Safe principals (= unlocked when it's unpowered).
Given a very robust construction (solid cast base plate and Cemented lock parts),
and the fact that the lock is permanently locked if the latch has been ejected,
this lock provides a very high resistance to all kinds of intrusion attempts.

Can be used for : Escape routes, entrance doors and inside doors,
main doors and doors in between buildings, hotels, airports, psychiatric institutions, shopping malls, parliament buildings, etc.

How a A1-SA Works

After the door is closed, the striking plate gets detected by the lock
by using a hall sensor on the PCB. After this detection the latch gets ejected,
by a spring and immediately locks.
To let the lock unlock you have to make a contact with a switch
between terminal 2 and 3. A electronic PCB will power the electromagnet
which will get the bolt in.
The lock will then switch from attractive current to holding current.
Through a profile cylinde, the lock can also get unlocked mechanically,
after which the solenoid is also energized. After the door is opened,
it is necessary to turn the key back and out of the cylinder.
The lock will remain electrically unlocked,
until the door is closed again, and the striking plate is detected.
(if no permanent contact is made between the two mentioned terminals).

Materials

  • Baseplate : Stainless Steel AISI 304 (precision casting) 10 mm thickness
  • Latch and lockingparts : cemented (45 RC) chromium-nickled steel (precision casting)
  • Cylinder Block : Stainless Steel AISI 304 (precisie gietwerk)
  • Housing, faceplates and striking plate : Stainless Steel AISI 304 (partly laser cutted laser, partly precision casted)

  • Symmetrical bolt with anti-saw pin,
    for both bumper doors and revolving (180°) doors.
  • Ejection of the latch 20 mm.
  • Surface Hardened bolt and lock parts of exceptional strength
  • High Latch Resistance (non-desctructable) , lateral as frontal on the latch.
  • he locking parts are mounted on a strong M6-axis,
        which is mounted on a solid base plate (10 mm thickness) from haredened stainless steel.
        As a result, a free movement of the components is guaranteed.
  • Baseplate as well as cylinder block are 1 piece of solid casted stainless steel.
  • Unlocking possible under considerable lateral pressure.
  • Included stainless steel locking plate (3 mm thickness) with a molded box strike.
  • Mechanical release, by means a cylinder, it is still possible.
       In the control cylinder is also connected an electrical contact,
       so that the lock further functions as with an electrical release.
  • Both 17mm and 22mm cylinders can be used.
  • Different backset sizes available : 25, 30 and 50 mm.
  • Specially developed electromagnet for fast unlocking and very low development of heat.
  • Power supply : 24V= direct current +/-5 % .
  • Power Usage:
        activation current (moment of unlocking) : ca. 2,2 A.
        holding current (permanently unlocked) : ca. 130 mA.
  • Built-in microprocessor controlled printed circuit board,
       protected against wrong polarity and peak voltages..
  • Monitoring of the boltposition (locked / unlocked) via one monitoring line
  • Monitoring of the door position (open / closed) via one monitoring line.
  • Restart : the lock will re-do 3 attempts to close after the first attempt when not properly locked.
  • Connection via the included removable connector with screw terminals
